Double Tagged (And now I’m It)!
1. My mother was sixteen, my father eighteen and a college
freshman when I was accidently conceived. My paternal
grandparents were opposed to them marrying; I was almost
two years old when they eloped out of duty, not because
they wanted to be married; especially reluctant was my mother.
2. I am a childhood cancer survivor. My lifelong health issues are
the aftermath of my life having been spared.
3. I have five sisters, one brother, and a half-sister (by my father).
Children were not valued nor considered a blessing by my
brilliant parents. All were unplanned, but fed and raised just
the same. They both achieved college degrees while raising us.
I’m proud of them.
4. My siblings were my friends and confidants. I attended three
different grammar schools and two high schools, always moving
due to expansion of our family. I didn’t have lasting friendships
and tended to be somewhat of a loner.
5. I’m more of a listener than a talker. That’s where my username
comes from. Lisaner, get it? Ha-ha. A favorite motto of mine is:
“Never miss an opportunity to keep your mouth shut.”

6. I do believe in free will (thank you, Mary@maryltabor). We all
have choices to make, and we are as adults responsible for each
and every one, right or wrong. Doing the right thing in life is never
convenient, easy, inexpensive, or happening at the right time.
7. Though I did like Philosophy in school, the concept of solipsism
just gives me the creeps.
8. My parents were avid readers; we had a huge library of their
books from their childhoods and later acquisitions. We were
allowed to read anything we wanted to. We regularly went
to the library, and I was enthralled with it. I love to browse
bookstores too, though I seldom buy anything.
9. I’ve been writing on and off since I was about ten or eleven,
little rhymes and stories.
