I Don't Understand Hate

I don't understand hate
It makes no sense to me
Why strangers would spill
Vile words to each other
Especially over a difference in opinion

I was called
A "thing" today
Because I refused to back down
From my pro transgendered beliefs

Another human being
Whose thoughts matter more
To the world or to society
Or to their own delusion
Called me a "thing"

I was not a woman
I couldn't be and have my beliefs
I couldn't be and think that all humans
Should be treated equally
Regardless of who they are and
How they live their lives

I don't understand hate
Its dirty, retched fingers clutch
The soul of a person
Owning it as they spew
Self righteousness

Politics are dirt
Conservatives in many cases
Are as bad as liberals in many cases
Though not all
They do the same exact thing

If you don't agree with them
They will eat you alive
Their way, the only way
No other way

Today was a day
Where I opted to post
My opinion and knew it wasn't
The popular one

Wanted to see if people could
Disagree civilly
Instead, I was asked if I too
Was a "creature"
A transgendered "abomination"

And when I said personal attacks
Would get one booted
I was told I wasn't a woman
I was a "thing"
An "ignorant thing"
How disgusting!

Wake up people
The hate you spew
Is in your very soul
The devil you profess
Has someone else
Is inside you

You can disagree
But when you say
The things you say
In a matter to belittle
Deprive another of a voice
Humanity itself

Then you are the said "thing"
No one has the right to demean another
Your opinion doesn't equal law
Check yourself
Before you wreck yourself
And there's no way to salvage the rest

Only way in life is to be kind
Even if you disagree
G-d loves all of His children
You don't have to

Remember, what you put out
Into the universe
Will return to you
So be prepared to get a serious
Can of whoop ass
Ain't no one got time for that stupidity
