Olivia James is broken. Her parents believed she was either unmotivated or plain old stupid becasue she continously flunked her classes in school. Even when they found out she had a severe learning disability they were unable to let go of the idea that if she worked harder and found some sort of drive she could succeed.
Heartbroken from her parents costant rejection Olivia turned to music to help her cope. Finally she could succeed in something and she loved it. On her eighteenth birthday she fled her small town of Charleston, Texas for L.A. where she snagged a record deal and became a multi platnium recording artist. However, the crazy world of the rich and famous was too much for Olivia to handle and she makes a decision that almost costs her, her life.
Now Olivia must come back to Charleston and face the dissapointed parents, devoted brother, old freinds and tragic romance she left behind. All while struggling to stay out of the media, heal her wounds and break free from the chains that fight to drag her down.
