New beginning

It’s early in the morning and my momma singing already. She must be leaving out soon. Damn I can never sleep late when she’s home. Minds well get up and head downstairs while she’s in the kitchen.
“Momma it’s 8 in the morning? Why u so loud” I said
“Hush ya mouth boy and sit down so you can eat” momma j said
“Ok but why u cooking all of that. It’s only me and you in here now remember “I said wondering why she fixing all this food.
“We have a new family in our neighborhood who just got in last night. I wanted to welcome to the neighborhood and your gonna help them unload the trucks” momma said not even looking my way
“You joking right? It’s guys why I gotta help. That’s gay” I said
“No it’s two females son now hush up. I guess a mother and daughter. When u done eating take these plates to them and help them out. I don’t want you sitting around my house with ya friends all day. Do something positive for ones.” Momma said taken her food upstairs
She always does this every time new neighbors come onto the block. She cook and I gotta take it to them. Crazy right I know. Momma always know how to make people feel welcome. I finished up my food and made my way to the corner house at the beginning of my block. It’s quiet so I’m guessing they still sleep so I decided to just knock
“Who is it” a girl said from the inside
“Umm I’m Chris I live up the street my mom wanted me to welcome y’all to the neighborhood. She made y’all breakfast.” I said wondering what she look like
As soon as she open the door my eye couldn’t believe how gorgeous she was. Even though you could tell she just woke up.
“Oh thank you Chris we appreciate it.” Mya said smiling
“Your welcome and umm I know you don’t know me but I was wondering would y’all want any help with the boxes in y’all truck. I live right up the street I don’t mind helping.” I said feeling nervous
I don’t know what it is about her but she just seems different. Real chills and fun, well that’s how I feel just look at her smile
“Umm sure you can help. My moms still sleep but we can actually get started now if u like. Come in” mya said moving aside so I can come in
“Wow as long as I lived around here this is the only place I haven’t been inside.” I said just staring at how amazing this place is.
“Yeah it’s pretty cool I haven’t checked out the whole house yet. We just got in a few hours ago. Do you want something to drink Chris?” Mya said walking into the kitchen.
“No umm I’m fine thanks” I said really nervously
What the hell is going on with me is all I could think about right now. I never been tongue tide or lost for words with anyone I talk to. Especially not a girl, im not gonna brag but im defiantly a ladies man.
“ok well im gonna go change real quick then we can get started. make yourself at home. ill be right back” mya said walking up the steps
if this girl got me feeling like this and we only met each other less than 20 minutes ago. i gotta make her mine. i just gotta keep my cool.

Waking up in my new house and someone knocking early in the morning is not how i thought i was gonna start my first day here. it feels weird being here already. already met someone and i haven’t been here a day. Chris seems so sweet and cool. im surprised at what just happened i never had that happen before. his mom is a sweet heart too, they brought us breakfast and he offered to help. maybe we can become close and he can help me make friends. i don’t know but im excited already.
