When
My eyes opened,
A piercing light blinded me,
Scorching my pupils,
Until I gathered,
My Surroundings.
A hand carresed my face,
"Mom? Is that you?"
I sat up abruptly and looked around.
The hand was gone.
I heard a distinct,
Child's laugh.
I look over,
Blonde braids,
Bouncing up and down.
I am in a park,
A heaven of sorts,
Green grass,
Playground,
No people,
Only the girl.
The girl is beautiful.
Blue eyes, bright smile.
The girl is holding something.
The girl is holding a doll.
THE, Doll.
Also known as,
Ella.
Satan.
The Demon.
The torchered soul of a childs toy.
"Oh god. Shes going to hurt the little girl!"
But just a second ago..
wasn't Ella in burning rags?
Sitting on my porch?
Smiling the most horrifically she could??
I try to stand up,
But my legs are numb.
I scream, hoping to get the girls attention.
She looks over.
First her face is surprised.
I am releived.
But then she makes a bad decision.
Her first mistake was setting Ella down in the grass.
Her second was leaving her there to come help me.
She ran over and asked whats wrong.
"Th- That doll is CURSED! Her name is Ella and shes cursed!!!" I yell!
The girl is frightened.
So am I.
When we look towards Ella,
She is gone.
"Come on! We've got to hurry! Help me up!" I yell.
She gets up obiediently and pulls me by the arms.
My legs have enough feeling in them to help me run.
"Where are we going?!" She asks me,
The wind is picking.
"I don't know."
I said.
And then we ran.
