Ivy wasn't okay.
Through out most of her life she wasn't okay. For her deep down, it had always been numbing, alone, and depressing.
Had she thought about going to a therapist? Yes. But with what money? Her mom sends her money, but it would not enough for therapy appointments.
Ivy knew something was wrong with her, but her stubbornness got in the way.

Lucas and I were walking into Cory's class. I noticed the words MENTAL ILLNESS on the board.
For a second I couldn't breath and my heart stopped by the topic of today.
"Hey, are you ok?" Lucas asked me, with a hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah... I was just thinking."
The bell rang and everyone went to their seats, with Cory coming in.
He started teaching pointing at the bold words, "What is this?"
Farkle raises his hand up fast, which Cory let him speak, "Mental illness is basically any various disorders that is characterized by impairment of someone's thoughts, emotions, or social functionings."
"Very good, Farkle. Can anyone name a person from history with any mental illness?"
Some people raised their hand, with Maya being chosen to speak.
