*Five Days Later*
Y/N POV
I woke up early as normal and headed out quickly to continue my quest to be hired as a maid. Even though I've had nothing but bad luck the past week I feel like something good is going to happen today so I had more energy and hope than normal. After walking around for about 2 hours a kind looking elderly lady accompanied by an old man who I assumed was her husband approached me.

"Hello" she said,

"Hello," I replied,

"Are you good at household chores?" Asked the man,

"Yes sir," I say proudly, "I can wash the dishes, clean the house, anything that's needed sir," The woman nodded,

"Good, you can be our sons maid." I politely bow,

"Thank you so much ma'am and si-" The woman stopped me,

"Just call us Mr. And Mrs. Park" she said with a smile, I nodded.

"Tomorrow I will pick you up and take you to my son's house so you can start your work" Mrs. Park said.

"Thank you so much Mr. And Mrs. Park" I say while bowing again to show my gratitude. Both of the elderly couple smiled,

"Pack your things, okay?" Mr. Park said with a smile, I nodded politely and told them goodbye. I walked home quickly although it still took almost an hour because of how far I had walked.

Once I got home I fling open the front door in excitement,

"Aish!" My mom shouted in shock, "you scared me, Y/N" she said,

"But Mom, I have news to share!" My mom looked confused and Jacob got up from his homework to come listen,

"What is it, Y/N?" My mom asked,

"I already have work starting tomorrow!" I proclaim excitedly,

"So does this mean I can do the school trip?" Jacob asked and I nodded. He smiled happily and pulled my mom and I in for a family hug.

*A few hours later*
I finally finished packing my things and we've finished eating our small dinner, 'soon,'  I think to myself, 'soon we'll be able to eat huge meals and never have to be hungry again' I look over at Jacob who has fallen asleep on the couch again,

"Y/N, I'm going to miss you so much" my mom says sadly,

"Mom, I will never forget you and Jacob, my family is my inspiration" I tell her,

"Take care of yourself," she says, I smile,

"You and Jacob too, we should sleep now mom..." She nods her head and I walk back to my room laying on my thin mattress for the last time in a while.

I laid in my bed and closed my eyes, I needed to sleep since tomorrow was going to be such a big day but I couldn't sleep, too many questions filled my mind.

Mr. And Mrs. Park seemed really nice but what if their son was mean? 'What if he tries to hurt me?' I thought, 'No, respectful people like Mr. And Mrs. Park wouldn't raise their son like that...I hope he's kind to me...I wonder how long I'll have to be a maid, I want enough money that my brother and mom will never be poor or go hungry again so I'll work extra hard...I want Jacob to be able to afford his studies and I want Mom to have a big house with big cars and big rings too...'  Thoughts like these circled my mind for hours until finally I managed to fall asleep.
