The crescent moon

was reigning with

some sparkling

glittering dust

scattered on the black sheet

beyond that horizon.

In worship I stared

wishing, praying, insisting

I could grow

some wings with me

and marvel above

until I could touch the dusky

sky like on a magic

carpet ride.

But in the

whole new world

where I tried to fit in

where you tried to let me in,

it was obnoxious

to believe that I can

stand a chance.

But with Aladdin's mighty blood,

I risk my whole heart

rode on that magic carpet ride

before I could realize

that magic is

the sister of treachery.

Driven by my pettish side,

devour all your lovable lies

the chances of being hooked

is like showing a bookworm

a titanic library

filled with books.

But in words

I fell

everything you told me

sounded more of invitation

when all you meant

is nothing,

when all you meant

is nothing but words

with empty meaning,

when all you meant

is wanting me

to refuse what you never offered.

"But he sounded so desperate
by the time he asked me
to be part of his life?"

"That's what great sorcerers do,
they convinced people
by concealing the truth."
