i sat, listening to my heart beat
listening to it hammer loudly against my ribs
listening to it furiously clawing at my flesh
listening to it shake in annoyance
shake in frustration,
shake in disappointment,
And i realize that this was it.
this cocophony of emotions is all that there is.
that this heart knows no other tune to play
except to that of my song--
the song of jealousy.
