hey y'all. I wanted to create a faceclaim book which showcased and celebrated women of African ancestry I've been looking at faceclaim books for a while now trying to find characters for upcoming projects and the women found are almost never black. POC's yes, black no.
When you finally find a good book that celebrates black beauty 80% of the females are light skin and/or biracial. Don't get me wrong as they are black and deserves to be acknowledged as well but when these type of women are the main focus something is wrong we should ALL be celebrated not only the lightest of light.
For that reason this book is MAINLY to celebrate brownskin/darkskin women. Not only but mainly. Readers of a certain race/complexion need to see themselves being uplifted throughout all forms of entertainment as it uplifts them in real life as well including; through books and storytelling.
I Would like to play a role in young girls feeling accepted so I'm creating this project I hope you all love and enjoy every female that gets posted because they are truly beautiful: Hopefully this inspires readers to cast more black leading characters. Thank you for reading and enjoy!!
