Pretending to Sleep are We?

A young boy is sleeping in his bed on a usual night.He hears footsteps outside his door,and peeks out of his eyes to see what is happening. His door swings opens quietly to reveal a murderer carrying the corpses of his parents.After silently propping the boys parents on a chair,he writes a message on the wall behind the boys parents in their blood.He then finishes and goes over to the boys bed and hides under it.

Now scared beyond belief.He cant read the writing on the walland he knows the man is under his bed.Like any child he pretends to sleep,like he didnt hear or see anything.He lays still as his dead parents,while listening to the quiet breathing of the man under his bed.

Once the boys adjusted he could finally read what the murderer wrote on his wall,he gasps at the sentence when he finally makes it out.

"I know you're awake".

He then feels something shift from underneath his bed.
