For: A Girl
She sat with her friends,
but she felt so so alone.
She closed the doors,
and said no one was home.
She pulled away deep into herself.
Put all her feelings on the highest shelf.
But then he came,
and changed up her whole world.
Never the same,
a new and different girl.
No price to pay,
just let him see your smile.
Yes ma'am indeed,
he'll go the extra mile.
Just show him your smile.
Show him the inner you.
Let him tell you you're beautiful,
and believe him too.
He can see your beauty.
He can see your flaws.
But he'll accept you for you
with them all.
Girl, show the world what you can be.
Stand together,
you and he.
Let the problems rain down on you.
You'll get through them all
no matter how big or small.
Now girl, they see what you can be.
Now you're finally free,
from the locks you put on your heart
to keep you from falling apart.
You let him tell you you're beautiful,
And you believe him too.

Poems By: A Girl
PoetryA collection of poems from a girl who just wants to be that best that she can be, and tries to evolve each and every day. (I changed the name from "Poems By: A Shy Girl" because I've grown to be happy with myself and to speak my mind.)
