Roundel: Silent Cries

331 31 17

The silent cries of that little face,
The quiet screams and unsaid goodbyes.
Don't you hear his voice, won't you embrace
the silent cries?

Remember your groans, and moans, and sighs?
Lying on a bed of come-what-mays,
You thought you were smart, ever so wise.

His small body ebbed without a trace,
You have sent him straight to paradise,
But now you regret it, now you chase
the silent cries.
