Children of the night

Princess Luna was standing on her bedroom balcony in deep thought. 

'What a beautiful night' She thought with a rare smile on her face.

It was indeed beautiful and peaceful at that. She looked down at canterlot. (A/N, Is canterlot the place in the video?, please tell me in the comments). And frowned as the princess could feel the sadness of the ponies in the town. 

'I wish the children didn't have to suffer' Luna thought sadly. 

As the princess of the night, she felt protective over her subjects, especially the fillies and made sure they were all sleeping soundly and that the children were having sweet dreams instead of nightmares. There was enough horror in this troubled, world they did not need to experience it again in their dreams. She wanted to take the children where they could be safe, be happy... be themselves. She looked up to the the starry sky. 

'The moon...' The princess of the night thought, as she smiled. 

She could take them there to keep them safe, to play... And to not have to fear anything. 

'Come, little children...'

'I'll take thee away'

'Into a land'

'Of enchantment'

'Come, little children..'

'The time's come to play'

'Here in my garden'

'Of shadows...'

Luna had a brief flashback remembering the castle was clear and her sister still asleep. 

'Follow, sweet children'

'I'll show thee the way'

'Through all the pain and

The sorrows'

She flew through the town eyeing everywhete as she softly sang seeing one girl asleep on her bed and even a little colt asleep on the streets. She was disgusted for a minute, then regained her composure.

'Weep not, poor children'

'For life is this way'

'Murdering beauty and

Passions'

Luna then continued her song...

'Hush now, dear children'

'It must be this way'

'To weary of life and

Deceptions'

'Rest now, my children'

'For soon we'll away'

'Into the calm and

The quiet'

The princess then got her wings the stated to advance towards the moon... 

Luna looked back.

The foals started to rise from the town then they started to follow her she smiled and did a little spin out of happiness.

'Come little children'

A foal came towards her and she nuzzeled the fillie.

'I'll take thee away'
'Into a land
Of enchantment'

'Come, little children'
'The time's come to play'
'Here in my garden'
'Of shadows...'

She smiled as they headed towards the moon. She smiled for herself, the princess of the night and for them.

For they were...

The Children of the night.

(A/N: FINALLLY!, finished this song has been stuck in my head all day so I wrote about it about it this fanfic is basically what happens in the video).
