“Are. You. A. Vampire?”, I repeated, saying each word individually, incase he didn’t hear me.
“I think this is my cue to leave”, Jason muttered, walking towards the front door.
“Jason!”, I called. I had no doubt in my mind that, if Eric turned out to be a vampire, he would be too.
“Sorry your breaking up I’m going under a tunnel”, he said, whilst quickening his pace towards the door.
“Were not talking on cellphones!”, I yelled, but it was to late, Jason was already out the door. I sighed, feeling exasperated, “That boy”, I muttered.
What am I saying? I don’t even know him! But yet, at the same time, I feel like we are long lost buddies. Ugh, stupid emotions!
Shaking my head at myself, I turned my attention back over to Eric.
“Are you going to answer me?”.
“Trust me. You don’t want to know”, he implied, but I wouldn’t hear it. I can handle it.
“Trust me. I really do”, I insisted.
Eric sighed as he looked up at the ceiling. Like he was contemplating about something.
He looked back down, at me.
“Your not going to give this up, are you?”, I shook my head.
Sighing again, he patted the cushioned seat next to him, “You might want to sit down for this. I don’t need you fainting on me”, he said and I scowled at him, but took the offer.
“Where should I even begin?”, he asked but more to himself than to me.
“The beginning would be nice”, I smirked and he gave me a duh look.
“I’m not a vampire”.
I was shocked.
“Then explain that you were able to run from town to here in under two minutes. And don’t give me any of that bull that you were in a marathon. I mean how dumb do you think I look?”.
“I don’t find you dumb at all. In fact, I find you both incredibly smart. Not to mention intriguing”, Eric commented.
I smiled at him. Not because I liked his comment, which I did, but because I was just about to ruin this moment.
“I’m not pretty?”, I asked, sniffling in fake hurt.
Eric’s eyes bulged. He was probably mentally cursing at himself for not saying I was pretty, but I couldn’t blame him. I’m not pretty.
