"Yeah mom, I just needed a bit of headspace. Yeah, of course, I'll be home soon. Love you, bye"

I run my hands through my pastel pink hair in frustration. I've had a lot going on lately and on top of that Casco just broke up with me. Turns out after all these years he was gay. Like he could've told me about it first without sleeping with his friend. I would've been completely supportive, a bit upset okay but supportive nontheless. Finding out this was the cherry on the cake, with my grades falling in school, feeling a constant ongoing sadness 24/7, my mom getting onto me about anything and everything I just needed some space where I could think. This tree was my go to thinking place, no one ever cane here so I could always be alone with my thoughts which is what I needed as home was too much sometimes.

I let out a harsh sigh before getting up and beginning the long journey home. I walk the usual route up the cobbled old grey stairs and through the gate but this time something appears to be different. There’s a castle to my left. I swear that wasn't there last week? Hmm, well none of my business. I continue walking down the slope on the other side, continuing my journey but I hear my name being called from the castle.

"Alayaaaaa"

I turn around slightly seeing no one there. I simply turn back around and continue walking.

"Alaya sweetie" They growled, voice dripping with danger.

The sound was masculine and demonic, almost sounding like Casco's voice.

I stupidly turn around and yell "Casco!"

Whilst doing this I see a figure in the distance with his soft brown hair, but the darkness clouded the figure’s face.
I froze in place simply staring at the figure, which started slowly walking towards me.

I still couldn’t distinguish the face, that was until a beam of light hit it and I realised…

It wasn’t Casco at all.
