Amidst the spring bloom and the summer sky
I watch a butterfly fluttering by
Whose metamorphosis has this lesson to teach
Our dreams are well within our reach
Once as a caterpillar, watching birds go towards the sun
She wondered what will she become
Looking up at the blue yonder above
She dreams of blue painted wid clouds, creamy dove
Keeping these thoughts safe, she found a plant to rest
And soon wove a brilliant cocoon for her nest
She goes off to sleep wrapped in the warm cocoon
With a firm belief that something will happen, things will change soon!!
One day she woke up, felt her cocoon crack
Knowing once she steps out, there'll be no turning back
Soon the cocoon unsealed
Magically, a beautiful butterfly was revealed
When caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly
With the joy of flight and freedom, soared high into the sky
When you reminisice, it can seem strange
But this is metamorphosis, its all about change!!
