Down in the city,
A commotion; a loss
A man was betrayed,
Was hung on a cross
He was accused
Of crimes aplenty
With no evidence
To find him guilty
He healed the sick,
Raised the dead
Yet "Crucify him!"
Was all they said
There on the cross
The lamb was slain
To show us how
To love again
