Bruised, beaten, and broken.

Left, forgotten, and deserted.

Lonely, cold, and shaken.

You break me down, you hurt me in many ways.

You bruise me without a care, you smash my dreams,

You embarrass me in public. You make sure everywhere the damage stays.

You tear me down, you take my pride, you take all I have.

You bruise my mental state more than physically.

You hurt me deeply, and there is no salve.

You trick and deceive me. Your lies seem so real.

You take my world and change it into the most hurtful and depressing place.

My reality, my world, my heart you steal.

You take all I have and make me hurt, but I remember what I have that you don't.

Something you can never take from me. Something I can't lose even with death.

I have a friend named Jesus and even with the world pressuring me to forget Him, I won't.
