The newspaper headline glared at me from the kitchen table: 11 YEAR OLD ALICE JACKSON MISSING. I sat down at the table and turned on the television. I flipped through the channels, until I landed on the news and watched as a picture of Alice Jackson filled the screen. I turned the TV off before I could hear Angie Spark express her ‘grief’ for the Jackson family.
