Lighting my Way

Plunged into darkness in the deep of night
nowhere to run
because you're out of sight
shine your candle.
light your path.
the road ahead is long
so lets start
nomatter the distance
we would take the steps
slow assured footsteps
because we know it all
the darkness may surround me
I may feel enclosed
but my candle
,its brilliance will light me through. In darkest night
till the break of dawn
it will lead me till
the streak comes on.
Smile a smile so graceful so light shine your light
its your first sight...
I know my candle
my beacon of hope
its tiny flame flickering
lights my entire way
so nomatter
the distance
the time i take
i trust my candle in
Lighting my way.
