A poet uses their words
Saying so little and so much
Hiding meaning behind the lines
And you long for their touch
.
A poet creates a world
Of beauty and wild fantasy
Drawing you in- your heart
Races and skips a beat
.
A poet makes you think
About who you are
And your mind wanders
When looking up at the stars
.
But what do you know about them?
Do you even know their name?
And if you met in a different place, a different time
Would you still feel the same?
.
Your mind tries to say you're wrong
But before you know it
Your heart tells you..
You fell for a poet
