Season Three: The Girl Who Knew Too Much

I wake to a call from Lydia in the middle of the night, telling me to meet her at the school. I pull up to see Scott and Stiles there.

"Where is she?" Stiles asks.

"Over here." Allison's says.

We walk over and meet Lydia.

"Lydia?" I ask.

"It's the same thing." She says. "Same thing as the pool. I got into the car, heading towards something totally different and ended up here. And, you told me to call you if there was dead body."

"You found a dead body?!" Stiles freaks.

"Not yet."

"Not yet? What do you mean 'not yet'? Lydia, you're supposed to call us after you find the dead body."

"Oh no. I'm not doing that again. You find the dead body from now on."

"How are we supposed to find-"

I block Stiles out seeing something on the 'Beacon Hills High School' sign. A dead body.

"Guys," Scott and I say together.

We look at each other than Scott says,

"We found the dead body."

"Idioms, analogies, metephors, and similes." Miss. Blake says.

I'm currently sitting in...English yay! <note the sarcasm.

"All tools the writer uses to tell their story." Miss. Blake continues. "Lydia, I wasn't aware you had so many hidden talents."

"You and every guy I ever dated." Lydia replies smiling.

I lean to the left to look at Lydia's paper and see that she's drawn a tree. The same tree she drew the day the hot, evil twin Alphas kidnapped me. Huh.

"Well, that was an idiom by the way." Miss. Blake says. "Idioms are something of a secret to the people who know the language or the culture. There are phrases that only make sense if you know the key words. Saying 'jump the gun' is meaningful only if you know about the stating gun in a race. Or a phrase like 'seeing the whole board'."

"Chess." Stiles says.

"That's right Stiles. Do you play?"

"No, my father does."

Miss. Blake nods than continues with the lesson.

"I think I can get to Ethan." I tell Scott and Stiles. "I'm pretty sure I can make him talk."

"What do you wanna do that for?" Stiles, who's behind me, asks.

"The Druids are emissaries, right?" Scott asks.

Stiles nods.

"So what if the Darach was an emissary to the Alphas?" I ask.

"Okay, first of all, I cannot believe we've gotten to the point where 'what if the Darach was an emissary to the Alphas' actually makes sense to me." Stiles rants. "And second of all, we're gonna have a huge problem getting to Ethan."

"What's that?" Scott asks.

"Going through Aidan. Ever since he's been back in school, they've always been together. How are we going to separate them again?"

The three of us look at each other than turn to look at Lydia.

"What now?" She asks.
