I remember getting scraped up knees
Freaking people out, by how little I cared.
To you it was nothing,
then again, you never got scared.
At least. I never thought so.
You'd dust off the mud
Find a little colourful kiddies plaster
Clean up the blood,
keeping me from disaster.
You were always a good actor.
I never saw the fear you hid,
right behind your forest eyes,
whilst all my monsters you got rid,
you suppressed yours under sighs
Bliss in ignorance, everything solved with a magic kiss.
Life as a child can be very shielded,
Because by love we were lifted
