Nine Shadows
"The man started walking slowly towards Ikaru. I could not believe my eyes. I thought for sure the man would have to break the surface of the lake as he crossed, and it was then I seen it.
As the cloaked man started walking across the water’s surface, I rubbed my eyes in disbelief. I couldn’t think how this could possibly be real. I heard a low rumble coming from Wolfe as the rabbits fell from his mouth onto the ground.
The man was dressed in a long black robe and adorned a black cape with the image of a snake entwined around a skull. I could hear him whispering something as he approached Ikaru.
Something was wrong.
There was look of fear in Ikaru’s eyes which was strange. He was afraid of nothing and no one. Ikaru slowly got to his feet like a puppet on its strings being controlled by its puppeteer. The rumble from Wolfe got louder. The man withdrew a sword from his robe and held it at his side as he slowly approached my brother.."
Will Ikaru be saved?
Will the identity of the mysterious man be revealed?
