Chapter One~School Consuleor

MY MOTHER AND FATHER SAT ON the love seat,though they weren't sat too close together.They had made a small space inbetween them,which meant that they were obviously mad at eachother.
My mother glanced at my father,and then at me as if she was trying to make a connection of some sort,and shook in her head in shame as if she didn't get one.
"Summer....i can't do this anymore..."She starts.
"Do what?"
"This marriage with your father,we keep aruging and as much as i want to fight for this relationship for you...our family...i cant anymore!"
"Your mother and i-we're getting a divorce..."
"D-d-dad?"A tear slips from my cheek,hitting my wrist.
"We're not happy together anymore...."
"Summer?"Our school's counselor ,Karen says voice full of concern.
"I need to head to first period..."I say,slinging my backpack over my shoulder.
"Ok,but we need to finish this tomorrow...."
"Uh,yeah of course."
