Love Bite!

Chapter Five

When Melody and I arrived at Sirius’ class, we noticed that the class had already started. The door was located at the back of the classroom and we tried to sneak in without being notices as Sirius was facing the board writing a spell. We managed to walk three steps when the door opened quickly and there was a dark shadow hovering over us. Sirius turned around to acknowledge the person who had entered and that led to him seeing me and Melody half way to the available seats and attempting to do it in a ninja fashion. I quickly looked at Melody and noticed that her pale hand was covering her smile, struggling to hide a giggle. I then noticed that the dark shadow was casted by no other Snape.  

‘Well, what do we have here? Can’t control your class it seems, Professor Black’ the bat hissed.

‘Actually no. Miss Hermione and Miss Melody were just going to help me conduct an experiment.’

‘They were, were they?’ Snape raised a curious eyebrow towards me and Melody, in which we nodded enthusiastically about.

‘Right go ahead then Black, I wouldn’t want to interrupt.’ Snape took a step backwards and waved his hand for Sirius to continue.

‘Right then class, I will be demonstrating what the Vera Vetro charm is. Okay three tap of the hand and the charm should take affect.’

He pointed his wooden wand at Melody and with a tap of his hand three times and the whispered ‘Vera Vetro’ melody disappeared. I looked at Black and he pointed down towards the floor. I looked towards the grey tiled floor only to see that there was a water goblet there in place of where Melody was. I looked wide eyed at what he had done. Snape clapped his hands and instead of saying what he came for he just said

‘And for Miss Granger?’

‘Ah yes, Miss Granger will now demonstrate the effects of the aviforse charm. You see the effects of this will make miss Granger a bird.’

‘A bird, you have got to be kidding me?’ I gasped

‘You better stay still Miss Granger or the effects may be worse.’

I just stood there gawking and watched as Sirius pointed his wand at me and mutter the word. Suddenly I had no feet or legs and it felt as if I was floating. I looked down and noticed that I was high from the grey tiled floor. My arms were constantly moving and I could hear laughter coming from below, although there was no colour in the room it was just white, black and grey. I tried to ask them why they were laughing but it just came out like a bird call. Oh well, that does make sense seeing that I was a bird. I heard a deep voice say

‘Okay that’s enough for today!’

I then opened my eyes to the white ceiling. I looked around and realized that I was on the floor. I quickly jumped up and rubbed my back where it hurt and I helped melody up to her feet.  I glared at Sirius and I stormed to my seat and sat down.

‘Well as amusing as that was Professor Black, I just came to remind Miss Granger and her friend about their detention this afternoon. My office at seven…Don’t be late!’

‘Of course professor Snape…if that’s all?’ Sirius hissed back at him.

Snape swooshed out of the room with his cloak floating behind him.

‘Thank you girls for participating in my lesson. I assure you that I have punished you enough for turning up late for my lesson.’

Thank god for that.  I wouldn’t want to be with Sirius alone or in a stuck in a situation together. Not after what happened last summer.
