My life changed in the fall of 2010. To be exact September 4, 2010. I had been working in the office that day. It was better than sitting in English. The teacher and I never got along. We always argued over her attitude, my laziness. So instead of being in there this is where they put me. Him, and his brother and his sister walked in all of them looking around cautiously. I motioned for the secretary to show them what to do. She looks up in defeat over the mass of papers on her desk. Growling, I get up put my best smile on and greet the new kids.

"Hi welcome to Hallowell High School. Home of the fighting beavers."

The oldest guy steps forward and says "Hello, I'm Max, this is Joshua and this is Janine. Manton."

Still smiling I say "Hello, nice to meet you."

Pausing then saying "First we have to go get you a school uniform." Turning I motioned for them to follow me into the uniform room. The room was down the hall, to the right. So the walk wasn't that long but still just as awkward for them at least. As ordered by the principal I had to keep the keys to this room on my personat all times. Which happened to be on a key chain around my neck. I had the door opened then motioned for them to go in first. After I came in and turned the lights on I asked the boys "What size shirt and tie do you wear?"

"Oh I wear a large and my brother wears a medium. Shirt I mean." Max answers quickly and with a warm smile.

"What about tie size?" I tried to keep the smile off my face.

"I don't know. Isn't there a way to measure it?" A smirk crosses Josh's face as Max says that.

"Ugh, make my day harder why don't you?" I grumble over my shoulder as I'm walking away. By the   time they've heard this I'm already half way to my destination. A few minutes later I come back with a tape measure and said "You two over  here."

Both came closer and Max stands in front of me with a weird look on his face. I didn't a bother trying  to figure out what it meant. Touching the tape to his I slowly measure his neck. After I finished with Max I then  measured Josh's neck. Josh's neck had little criss cross raised slashes. I had only seen this one other time but the person couldn't have done the things that person had done. When I touched his neck a sickening feeling filled me. Jerking back I say "OK I got it. I'll be right back."

It took me a few minutes to get back to them. The ties they wore were in the back and I had to climb and dust off the box. Once I got back to them I threw it at the boys not wanting to touch Josh again. I turn to the girl and ask "What size shirt and skirt do you wear?"

She blushes and says"Shirt;small and skirt size 10."

I roll my eyes. I can't believe that these girls are so worried about their weight and size that they won't say it out loud. "Alright." Sometimes I enjoy this place. Maybe it was the smell of starch and crisp collars. Reminded me of when I was human. Almost makes me want to go back then, almost. I say "Now before go change here's your blazer, bathrooms are down the hall and to the right."

All of them disappear into the bathrooms. Max emerges first he says "Hey so you never told us your name."

"Oh it's Anastasia."

A slow grin creeps on his face and he responds "Just Anastasia no last name?" The fun had worn off this conversation, I snap "Anastasia Warburton."

Max flinches and stutters "Sorry I didn't mean to upset you."

Instead of scaring the boy again I smile and say "No I'm sorry I'm just a little crabby this morning."

Both brother and sister come out, both eyeing Max and I. Well I get stared at enough in school so I turned and walked out.
