Kody

After Dutch, Tae and I left the nail salon the rest of our day consisted of going to the spa, shopping a few hours and eating dinner at Houston's. I definitely enjoyed getting out of the house and getting away from my "new life" for a bit and just having a regular, carefree girls' day. Aside from the little run-in with Kat, my day was great.

I'd gotten a text from August shortly after we finished our meals at Houston's, saying to come to the main trap - so that was our next stop. We left the restaurant and made our way to Lashontae's place. We were gonna drop her off before we headed to the trap, knowing that wasn't exactly her scene. It was fine since her house wasn't too far from our destination.

She opened the car door from where she sat in the backseat once we stopped in front of her house.

"You sure you don't wanna come with us and holla' at Deuce? You know that nigga been wantin' you for over a year now." Dutchess teased, letting out a small chuckle.

Tae laughed a bit, "Girl, please. You know Deuce ass wants everybody." She leaned forward between me and Dutch's seats.

"That is true." Dutchess agreed as Tae gave her a quick peck on the cheek.

"I had hecka fun with you guys," Tae sang as she looked over to me. "It was so nice meetin' you. We've gotta hang again. Maybe hit a club or somethin' next time."

I nodded, "Yeah, definitely. Just say when."

She gave me a toothy smile, "Most def. Well, I'll let y'all go." She grabbed her purse from its place on Dutch's backseat. She rubbed my arm, "See y'all later."

Dutch and I said our goodbyes as she exited the car. We stayed put until she got to her front door, unlocked it and walked in - Being sure she got inside safely. We then pulled off and began heading to the trap house.

"I wonder why he wants us at the trap. I thought we didn't have much work today." I looked over to Dutch with my face scrunched a bit. I didn't bother questioning August directly, because if it were about work he wouldn't take me doing so too lightly.

She shook her head, "Most likely, we don't. Especially not this late. They probably just fuckin' around, chillin' and lookin' out for the niggas workin' the night shift." She shrugged, "We kick back there some weekends when we ain't got shit planned."

I nodded my head, receiving the information before looking out of the window.

About seven minutes later, we pulled up at the trap. Some of Aug's workers were standing and seated outside, as usual, guarding the place. They looked over to Dutch and I as we stepped out of the car. We walked the rugged path way to the steps, being sure to take in our surroundings. I learned really soon that you had to be alert at all times.

We gave the boys head nods as we continued to the front door. Music played on the other side, and as soon as Dutchess pushed open the door we were greeted with a thick cloud of smoke and the potent smell of the loud they were smoking inside. I squinted my eyes and waved the smoke from my face, walking inside to hear Future's 'Move That Dope' blaring. Due to me loving that song, I disregarded the smoke smothering me and fogging my path and immediately began moving my body to the music.

"Ayeee," I sang out, closing the door behind me.

I looked around the hazy room, trying to make out everyone who was present. Deuce and Sully were sitting at one of the tables, grinding up what I assumed was more weed while Rex was occupied by some girl shaking her ass in front of him. Racqui, Chanel and Danica were sitting further off, talking, and Sev was just vibing out to the music with a styrofoam cup in hand. A few more of Aug's boys were there, too, either working or just lounging, smoking.
