Rachael didn’t sleep a wink that night; she was so worried about what had happened her (emotionally) and what could have happened to Amy (physically) that the next day at school she was so tired that as soon as she found out Amy was ok she went straight home.

About five minutes later she remembered it was her birthday “shit why didn’t I stay in bed this morning I could have slept throw my birthday but now I have to bloody celebrate it” she groaned, all day she was given presents, love and lots of attention (she hates theses things) but in the middle of it all she was able to sneak off to her room without anybody noticing, when she turn around there was a present on the end her bed, at the back of her mind she wanted it to be from her bastard of a brother (over seas right now), she could tell it had something to do with a vampire but she couldn’t tell if it was Alex or from him she hesitated to see and just as she was about to find out…her friends came bursting in “holy shit you scared me guys, what the hell are you doing here anyway?” Rachael snapped (she’s never in a good mood on her birthday) as her friends all jumped on her

“Duh…it’s your birthday why wouldn’t we be here” explained Jessie while trying on one of Rachael’s old funny hats

“Yeah we wouldn’t miss this for the world” said Lisa bopping Jessie with a purple pillow

“And anyway we promised to take you out for your birthday remember” added Amy excitedly flopping onto a bean bag

“Oh…look what I found under the bed a present” exclaimed Lisa cheekily

“what! Why where you under my bed? and give that to me!” Rachael said playfully taking it from Lisa

“I was trying to find out why you where so surprised” Lisa replied in a mildly entertained voice while attempting to retrieve the gift from her but in the end Jessie got hold of it

“what’s wrong Rach is it from a boy or something” Jessie asked with great excitement looking for a tag

“I don’t know I was about to find out when the party crashed in” explained Rachael implying to all her friends

“well then open it silly!” Amy cheered loudly while lisa flopped onto her lap

“nah maybe later, oh yeah while we’re on the topic of boys what happened with you and the guy with blue eyes hmm…” Rachael asked suspiciously

“oh…him well…” Amy said inconspicuously pointing to the hicky she had on her neck

“no why I don’t believe it you didn’t!” Lisa gasped excitedly jumping off her lap

“I did, but not with him” replied Amy smiling triumphantly

“judging how he approached Rachael with that same idea in he’s head I’m ether guessing all your money would have been missing the next morning or he’s not from around here” Jessie mocked sarcastically

“the second one” replied Amy humorlessly with a smile

“ok no more with the past, on to the future and on that note let’s go!” shouted Lisa enthusiastically running toward the door they all nodded in agreement; just they left Rachael picked up one of her darts and throw it at the picture of cupid she had on her dart board it hit dead center (as usual) she smiled than ran off after them.

Later in the car Lisa asked “why’d you do that?”

“Why’d I do what?” Rachael asked innocently tapping her fingers on the car sill

“Why’d you throw that dart at cupid? Silly” repeated Lisa rolling her eyes sarcastically

“oh maybe because I hate him he’s done way too many bad things for me to forgive him” answered Rachael in a slightly pissed off tone
