Fake Smile

My face all tight

Sadness hidden behind my eyes

An insincere look

Lack of comfort inside

Fake smile plastered on my face

I hate the days I have to fake a smile

And hide the pain inside

Keep the world from knowing the truth

Tuck it all inside

Silent cries

Invisible tears inside

Authentic despair hidden by false happiness

All you see is the fake smile

Not what's really inside
