"So you really wrote a hate letter to Aspen Hale and it accidentally ended up in his locker?"

Carson Mathers didn't mean to write a hate letter to the school's golden boy, Aspen Hale -- okay, maybe she did. But she didn't mean for it to end up in his hands.

She also didn't mean for her to like the rush of adrenaline she got when she delivered the next couple of hate letters. And she certainly did not mean to set up a bet; for her to write seven letters over a course of one week, and for him to try and catch his hater by the end of the week.

But Carson doesn't mean to do a lot of things (like falling in love).
