Oblivion cocoon

Some say they don't want to follow
God blindly,
I say why not follow you blindly?
The world is already in a state of blindness
We know nothing of our traditional roots
But we follow nonetheless.
We were conceived into deception
So we swiftly reject the truth
And cling on to another sweet connection.
Why do we fight it so hard?
Does it really not make some sense?
Or are we afraid of the reality being too intense?
Why are we so comfortable in this chaos?
Why are we unburdened by the lies?
Is the illusion that much more preferable?
Do we really want to be swept away in the tides?
May your soul rest in peace
Too bad we have no say in where you go
Too bad, on salvation, you missed out that piece.
Too bad, Too bad, too bad.
When you need the 'what-if's' they seem to disappear,
It's like being hard-wired not to ask why
Only to question the truth, they appear.
How clever we are to brain-wash our own selves,
Clever are we indeed to feel complacent in stagnance
Ignoring the fine print of the products on the shelves.
Cease from thine own wisdom!
The preacher's repentant plea
Well are you or are you not wise?
The answer to that question is both the lock and key.
How I grow weary of the clueless damned
In hind sight I was only supposed to plant a seed
But it is hard to plant a seed of doubt in sand.
God isn't a myth and neither are the consequences,
Reject your conception and embrace rebirth.
Disconnect your sinful frequencies
Let him make you etherally wise.
If someone asks me again about following blindly,
I cannot refrain from pointing out the obvious,
Though the truth's sight does not dispense kindly
It has never been the blindness that we were concerned about.
