Chapter 1
When I first met the team I did not know what to expect. I thought they were
all work and no play. Come to find out, at the end of the day, that’s when the real fun
starts.
Then I meet him; a really sweet guy who loves me. Loves me for me, not what I have.
Okay. Hold on. Let me start from the beginning.
Hi, I am Melissa, and this story is about not just me, but how I met Derek
Morgan, and how we fell in love… and it is about the BAU as well. I was moved from
foster home to foster home my whole life.
One day, I found a great family, or I
guess I could say that the great family found me. I have 7 brothers and 1 sister, a lot of
cousins and several aunts and uncles. My mom and dad are wealthy. They also have
to take care of two little kids.
Just in case you are wondering, yes, as a matter of fact I have five kids. They
are the children from my first and second marriage with my ex-husband, Edward Cullen
and Leland Chapman. I love their family, and they love me back. They love their
granddaughters and grandsons and nieces and nephews so much. My two daughter’s
names are Renesmee Carlie Cullen and Leiah Breanna Chapman and my sons names
are Dakota Chapman, Cobie Chapman, and little Edward Jacob Cullen. They are so
precious, I can’t imagine my life without them; it would be horrible.
One day I was looking for a job and I found one at the BAU. My first day there
I saw him; a goof ball, so funny. He took me under his wing, they all did, and we got
along very well. One day Derek asked me out but I turned him down.
He asked me again and I turned him down again. So, one day I gave in and said
yes. I told him to meet me at my place and he brought sampan. We had a lot to drink
that night and the next morning he was in my bed. So I go downstairs to make breakfast
and a few minutes later he did as well, so I made a feast.
Then he asked, “Go out with me again?” But I had to say no.
I had a lot of explaining to do so he could understand why I could not go on another
date.
I told him about my kids and he was pretty shocked.
“Bring them”, he said.
I replied, “No, I can’t, they have school”
He asked again, “How about on Saturday?”
We agreed to our date.
After breakfast I took a shower to get ready for work, and he left.
I went to work and we pretended like nothing had happened. I walk into the BAU.
Emily immediately asks “what happened between you and Morgan.”
I asked, “What do you mean?”
