Chapter 2-
My eyes snap open. A long strip light meets my eyes, making them burn. I turn my head to the side and see Alexa in the chair next to me. She is asleep. Her hair falls into the right side of her face. Her breaths are deep and slow.
I look around. The walls are stark white. The floor is black and white checker board tiles. Slowly, I realize that I'm in a hospital.
I sit up, slowly, making sure I don't make any noise.
Pain arcs through my back and I gasp in agony. Alexa sits up, suprised. She says "Thank God your up. I was worried about you."
"You were?" I ask "How long was I out for?"
"About two days. The doctors thought you wouldn't wake up at all." she replies. She leans into me and kisses me on the cheek. She then says "But I knew you would. I could feel it."
I look at her, thinking about what she said. I've been out for two days. I wonder what's happened while I was out. I say "Wait, if I'm in here, where's your brother?"
"He's in the other room. He has a really bad concussion. Shane, what the Hell did you do to him."
