In the distance I️ hear the call of a car
Fast like rushing water
And cold like a northeastern breezeFrom my room I️ smell dog
Salvia stretched across condo
Loneliness filled with canine
And dryness flaked off wrinklesThrough insomnia I️ see outlines
Shadows of dressers and the faces of my fathers past
The moonlight shining in the window
like a sonataAlthough red, but orange still
I️t is nice
And I️ now know the appeal
of a peninsula
