Dylan POV

I look at Mia' glasses. I just keep sighing with regret about what I did. 'Oh how I wish I could travel back time.'

I am still looking at her glasses when my eye caught a bright light. The light was so bright it nearly blind me. I force myself to look at the light and it made my jaw open a bit. It is a fire wall.

"Hey did you hear? That human girl had it this time! She is up against Victor near the cafe! Can't you believe it?"
"Oh man! That girl is totally screwed! We should check it out bro!" "Better not dude. Or else you will become the next roast meat after that girl." then they continue to walk past me.

Are they talking about Mia?! No that can't be. But it must be true. She is the only human here in this academy. No! That can't be true!

If she is hurt, I am to be blame of. Oh man! I'm such a jerk! Believe it or not, I am now running as fast as I could headed towards where Mia is. If I'm late, she will get seriously hurt. Or even worse!

I push away every people that is in my way. I don't care right now. All I care about is her safety. That's kinda weird to feel really scared of losing somebody you don't know. I don't even know why on earth I am like this!

I follow the light that nearly blind me just now. Strangely, the light suddenly faded. I shake my head to avoid disturbance and found the cafe where Mia was suppose to be. I frantically looking for her when I heard something drop on the ground. Hard.

I look at the place where the sound came from. And there she is. Fallen on the ground. She looks so helpless. How can that guy bullies her that much?

But my thought is wrong. He's not bullying her. It's like he's trying to kill her when I saw Victor gathers a ball of fire in his hand and throw it to Mia.

I couldn't think straight that time. I run as fast as I could to her. The ball is coming closer to her that I think I couldn't make it to her. I am so close to Mia right now. Just a bit more. The ball is coming closer too. It could hit her any second now.

I make it to her and before I realize, I am hugging her and a wall made of from earth cover us from the ball. BOOM! The impact was so hard that the wall cracks a little. The top cover shows sign of cracking. I am a bit suprise though. The wall I made is thick. I can't even think what would happen if it hits her.

When everything went quiet, I look at Mia. She is shaking so badly I could feel her body shake. "Mia, you ok?" What a stupid question I ask!

Mia just look at me. The look on her face shows that she is scared. Very scared. "Dylan... What are you doing here? How did you know I'm here? Why are you breathing like this? Are you hurt?"

"I'm ok. It's just I haven't use my powers for so long. And it's kinda tiring.

Also, I come to look for you. We all are... Alex and Violet too. It's just... I'm sorry for what I said earlier. I didn't meant any of it. I..." Mia puts her finger on my lips, telling me to stop.

"Hey, it's ok. No big deal anyways. You did save my life." she said smiling at me like nothing happens. Why is she smiling although I just make her cry?

Just then, the the ground starts to shake so badly I can't even move. I look at the wall and it's beginning to crack even more.

"Mia, we have to get out of here." but it was too late. The wall I made is shattered. Wrecked. The wall is gone, making my view of the outside visible.

"Done playing hide-and-seek? Get out of the way, Dylan." he said. I try to make another wall but I can't. My body is too weak to make another one. Serves me right for not doing excersies!

If I make another one, the risk is too high. I try to stand up. But pain has taken hold of my body.
"Dylan, don't do this! You are hurt. Just stay here."

Mia gets up and hold her pendant. "Fine! I'll give it to you. In one condition." she pause and look at me. "Leave my friends alone." Victor just smiles and agrees with her.

"Mia, don't! You don't know what he'll do to you."
Mia shook her head. "Dylan, it's ok. Everything will be fine after I give this to him." she unhook her necklace and hand it over to Victor.

Just when I thought that she did give him the necklace, she pull back her hand and kick him in the face. Victor was knocked out. By a single blow. "Ha! How do you like that? Geez, I should have done that before."

I couldn't believe my eyes. Did she just knocked him out with just a single kick? Man, how lucky am I when she didn't kick me in class earlier.

"Hey Mia, mind helping me?"
She look at me and hurry to help me. Her back was turn making her didn't realize that Victor is up, ready with another fire ball. "Mia, look out!"

Victor slams his fire ball on the ground, misses her by an inch. He try to gather another fire ball but his arm got pulled by a string. String made of water.

It was Alex. He made it here. An Violet too. She is running towards me. "Dylan, you ok?" she ask. Helping me get up.

"About time you showed up."
"Hello, you think we saw this coming? Seriously, you try to be a hero now with that body? Naah dude. You're lucky you're still alive." she smirks at me.

"Haha. Very funny." I said, mockingly. By the time Violet puts me at a safe place, Alex has already tied Victor with his strings.

"Glad that's over huh?" said a voice next to me. I look at the voice and it was Mia. "Well I've better help Alex out. See ya." Violet left me and Mia as fast as a lightning.

"Woah... She's fast. She just zooms like a lightning." "Well that's what you get if you have thunder powers." we both giggle.

But soon it was silent. Awkward!
"Hey Dylan." Mia broke the silence. "Yea."

"Thanks for saving my life back there. I thought it was the end for me. So yeah, I owe you one." she says that and hug me.

Why does she always make me suprise? It's her first day at school and she is already making me more and more like her. As a friend.

"Umm... Hey Mia. I... Here. I want to return your glasses back." I pull out her glasses and we were silent for a moment. It was completely destroyed.

We look at each other and laugh out loud. Little did we know, that our joy was being watched by two pairs of eyes.

Violet POV

I look at both of them laughing happily. I just can't stand watching people happy, especiallt if it's between a boy and a girl.

"Hey Violet! Are you helping me or what?!" Alex said at me. "Sheesh, fine! I'm coming."

I help him to search anything odd on Victor's body. "Alex..."
I pull out a bug that was stuck on Victor's neck. We look at each other.

"It is her. I'm sure of it. We got to tell the principal. Right now."
I nod and we both run to the principal's office.
