From a young girl I wanted to become a Marine, the first time I walked into the recruiters office I was 15. It took until I was 17 years old for my recruiter to look at me and say "this shits serious." I was the only female from my area to enlist, and I held myself to high moral, physical, and self standards. After ending an 2 year emotionally and physically abusive relationship I was truly ready to leave and become the women I dreamed of.
