---Andrew’s POV---

I looked at the dirty orphan girl. My eyes widened. Did she say, ‘bite me’? How did she know I was a vampire? I smiled and chuckled.

“What do you mean Elizabeth?” I asked with a smooth voice.

She pointed at my mouth, “When you smile, I can see sharp teeth. The only things I know that have them are vampires. So? Are you a vampire?”

She was pretty observant wasn’t she?

I laughed and poked one of my canines, “Oh you mean these? They’re fake! I got them a couple of years ago. It cost me a lot of money though!”

Of course I was lying. I didn’t want her to be scared, or better yet, spread word that we exist. She looked at me and smiled a little, “Ok…even though my mom told me not to leave or talk to people I don't know... There's something about you I can trust for some reason... So, I guess I could spend a few days with you. Only until mom and dad come and get me. I’m sure they’ll be back as soon as they can.”

Alright, there we go. Now I don’t have to be a heartless vampire and leave here in the snow. I stuck out my hand, “Well then… Shall we go Miss Elizabeth?”

She grabbed my hand, smiling. I walked her to the car and she got in the passenger’s seat. I looked at her when I started the engine. Her face was in awe. I drove a silver 2011 Toyota Camry. It’s pretty nice but, her face glowed a little too much.

“What is it?” I had to ask. She snapped out of it and blushed, “I never saw the inside of a car before.”

Is she serious? What do her parents drive? Horses?! I arched an eyebrow and looked at her from the side, “What do you mean? You’ve never rode in a car before?”

She shook her head, “No, when mom and dad went out, I had to stay inside. I could only play around the house.”

“Well then, how did you get to the park?” I questioned.

“The trunk.” She simply said.

My eyes shot toward her when she said that. Her parents put her in the trunk of the car?! Who does that to their child? Let alone anybody! I licked my lips because they went dry and cleared my throat.

“Well, I’ll be sure to take you places on your time of staying with us, ok?” I told her. She smiled but it quickly disappeared, “Wait… us?”

“Oh, yeah, maybe I should’ve told you before. I have some roommates. One’s name is Jeremy, he’s homosexual but he’s really funny. One’s name is Angel, he’s nice and sweet. The last one is Adair; he’s kind of moody so, you might want to watch out for him.”

She listened as I explained who she would be dealing with. Her gaze lingered to the outside. She watched the trees fly by.

“They sound fun…” She said. I smiled and chuckled, “Well, they can get under my skin sometimes but, they’ve been there for me so I can’t complain.”

It was quiet for a little while longer. I kept my eyes on the road. Little snowflakes began to hit my windshield. I looked up and noticed that the sky had become an even darker gray color. Great, it’s starting before I even get home.
