Chapter 4

I was walking down a long dark corridor in what seemed to be in an old age medieval castle. There was a chill in the air and I was wearing a long, thin, white nightgown. I wrapped my arms around myself and shivered from the cold air. My bare feet were so frozen from the cold stone underneath them that it felt like my toes were going to fall off.

It was really dark in the hallway and the only source of light was dimly lit torches attached to the wall and there were no windows. I felt frightened for some unknown reason while standing here. It felt like I was being watched and it was making me very nervous, even though from what I could see, there was no one with me. I walked forward nervously, hoping there will be a way out of this never ending long hallway. I looked behind me and in front of me, but all I could see was darkness. Every step I took seemed to make the corridor even longer and darker.

I started panicking, thinking that I would never be able leave this place and be trapped in this dark dismal place forever.

All of a sudden, I heard a loud, beastly growl coming from behind me. I froze up in fear. A cold sweat started on my forehead and my hands started shaking uncontrollably. I nervously turned my head around slowly, fearing of what I was about to encounter.

Behind me was a pair of large glowing red eyes staring straight at me in anger and hunger. It growled again, louder this time. I screamed as loud as my lungs would let me as I watched the eyes lunge towards me.

I opened my eyes and shot out of bed. I didn't get far with the IV tubes still in my arm. I heard a piercing high pitched noise coming from a place unknown. I heard someone in the room yelling at me to stop screaming. I then realized the high pitched noise was coming from me. I stopped my annoying loud pitched screaming and started panting vigorously, feeling like I just ran a marathon. I was soaked with a cold sweat and my nightgown was soaked and was uncomfortably sticking to my body. I felt cold hands on my shoulders shaking me gently. I looked up seeing large, brown eyes staring into mine.

"Are you alright?" Missy asked.

"I'm fine thanks. It was just a dream," I replied shakily.

"Sounded like a nightmare to me," she said.

"I don't wanna talk about it."

"You should. It might help," she said putting an arm awkwardly around my shoulders, attempting to give me comfort.

"No, I'm fine. Thank you for caring though." I said, feeling a lot better knowing she at least tries to care.

"Alright then, if you say so," she said letting go of my shoulder, "You should try to walk around today I'd you're up to it. The exercise will help you feel better."

"OK" was all I replied. The remnants of the dream still lingering in my thoughts.

Missy removed the IV in my arm and put on a band aid and helped me stand up. I was still a little shaken up from the dream, but I was still able to stand. I was able to walk around too, a lot better than I thought I could. After a little more exercising of my legs, I went to take a shower in a small bathroom attached to the room. It was a plain white bathroom with some red accents. It had a shower/bathtub, a toilet and a sink.

It was probably one of the best damn showers I've ever had in a long time. I didn't want the amazing warm shower to end, but I had to unless I wanted to look like a giant walking raisin.

After about 15 minutes, I got out and dried myself with a fluffy, warm towel and put on my clothes that I found on the sink that I wore at the night of the club. It smelled like Missy washed them for me. It smelled like lavender and spring. It smelled really good and it helped me to relax a little.
