Hello guys!! I'm back with an os.
Do tell me how is it.

"I thought I would start my speech by addressing you as the “new” family of my daughter. But I think it would be inappropriate because now that she is married, you are “the family” for her. Believe me; I don’t have a problem with that. I, in fact, want my daughter to have “you” as her priority now. Its time for us to take a backseat in her life. We would happily accept it but would surely request one thing- please keep her happy!

I still remember the first time I held her in my hands, she was such a fragile, so soft like a teddy, I was scared to hold her in fear to drop her as she was so tiny who fitted exactly in my arms and now she is the butterfly which is going to spread love and happiness in your's and your family's life - please keep her happy!

I still remember the day she said that she loved you and wishes to marry you. I wasn't happy not a bit, I was jealous of you who made a place in her heart. She always said that I'm in her first love and I secretly wished to be the last but it didn't come true. I don't know what you did and how you did but you entered her heart which was next to impossible task, as she didn't allow any men apart me and her brothers to do so. I'm glad she did by this she will be happy with it. It took a lot of efforts from my wife to convince me to give a thought to this relation and marriage. I'm glad she persuaded as I'm sure that you are a perfect match for her.

I am more than sure that you will keep her very happy. She will perhaps be happier than what she used to be here. But like all fathers, I obsess over my daughter’s happiness which is making me say this over and over again- please keep her happy!

She never was and will never be a burden for me. She is in fact the reason why I breathe and smile. I am getting her married because this is what the law of nature demands. I am helpless in the face of our culture and therefore sending her to your home. She was the happiness of my home and will now light up your home. I am giving my world to you. Please make sure it remains beautiful. I am giving away my princess to you. Please make sure she stays as a queen. I have raised her with my sweat and blood and now she is wonderfully perfect. For all the care, love, beauty and warmth my daughter will bring into your lives, I just want her happiness in return—please keep her happy!

If at times you think that my daughter has said or done something wrong, feel free to scold her. But handle her with love. She is very fragile. If at times she feels low, be with her. She just needs a little bit of your attention. If at times she feels sick, show her some care. It’s the medicine that works best for her. If at times she fails to fulfill a responsibility, feel free to chastise her. But empathize with her. She is still learning. Do understand her—please keep her happy!

I don’t mind if I don’t get to see her for months. I don’t mind if I am not able to talk to her on a daily basis. I would be more than happy if she doesn’t remember me much. But, my only motive in life has been my daughter’s happiness which is now in your hands. I beg you, please keep her happy!

I'm more than happy to allow you to change her surname but remember I envy you at the same time as you stole her right infront of me leaving me helpless. I beg of you which I didn't do in my entire life- please keep her happy!

Dear son-in-law, these words may not mean much to you now but if you are lucky enough to father a daughter someday, you will appreciate them better when you will find every beat of your heart shouting – “please keep her happy”!

By this I conclude my speech which I did in the insistence of my only daughter Mrs Aashi Ahaan Khurana!

I wish a very happy married life to Mrs and Mr Ahaan Khurana!!!" Saying this Arnav Singh Raizada stepped down from the podium and wiped the two silent tears which rolled down from his eyes which everyone failed to notice but not his wife Khushi who wiped her tears and moved towards her husband.

"Dada!!" Saying this Aashi hugged and started crying listening to her Dad. She was the one who persuaded him to give a little speech on her Reception party, she never once thought that he will be beg for her happiness in from of thousands people.

"Shh Aashi, don't cry bacha!!" Arnav consoled his daughter patting her back. He too was emotional, after all he is gonna miss her a lot. He searched for his wife on the crowd and saw her coming towards them.

"That's enough Aashi, you are making me emotional. Stop your tears or else I'm sure dad is gonna cry now, which I don't think you wish!!" Aarav said seeing her crying. Hearing this Aashi cried more burying her face in his Dad's chest. His eyes were moist too, first listening to his Dad's speech and now seeing his baby sister's tears  Like his Dad he too can't see tears in the eyes of his Mom, sister and wife.

"Di, I'm taking your room if you don't stop crying now!!" Arush younger brother of Aashi declared which stopped her tears.

"Don't you dare do that, that's mine and no one has right on it!!" Aashi said coming out of his father's embrace.

"I won't, I don't want to die this soon!!" Arush said winking and Hi-fi-ing with his elder brother.

"Dada, see na......" Aashi complained pouting.

"Here comes the Dada's princess!!" Saying this both crushed her in hug.

"Ahh, I can't breath!!"

Arnav and khushi both smiled seeing their little banter.

"Dada, no matter what I will be Aashi Arnav Singh Raizada. So what if I married no one can change my surname not even Devimayya!!" Aashi said side hugging her dad.

Ahaan's face was worth watching hearing Aashi which made Aarav and Arush laugh.

"Serves right dude for stealing her from us!!" Arush said chuckling.

"You don't have to beg for her happiness Dad, she will be happy with me. I will treat her more than a queen, I promise!!"  Ahaan promised keeping his hand on his heart.

"Just keep her happy young man. She is all yours!!" Arnav said keeping Aashi's hand in Ahaan's.
