“How was school?” my mom asked as soon as I returned from school.

"I had so much fun today, me and my friends played water fight in the corridor.  It was so fun. You should have seen Mr. Swiss face".

I always felt bad lying to mom and dad about my social life in the school. I didn't want to upset them by telling what in reality did happened there. I was sure they would freak out and make me stay at home but I didn't want that. I wanted to live, as much life wants me to.

"Why don't you call your friends home Alex?" Dad suggested.

Josh, my older brother glared at me. He knew about all that things which happened in the school. Sometimes it gets really tough to stop him from killing them but in the end he just listen to me.

"They are busy dad but surely I will call them latter."

I faked smiled about the thought of bringing someone non-existent.

"Mom, I am going to my room to finish off my homework. Do you need any help?" I asked.

"No I don’t. You go and sleep and don't over exhaust yourself. Okay?"

"Yes mom"

I hugged josh and walked towards my room. Earlier my room use to be next to Josh upstairs but due to my conditions, mom and dad shifted it next to them downstairs.

After two hours I was done with my homework and it was only 5 in the evening so I decided of going to the near by park.

I searched for my water bottle and medicines but couldn't find it in my room. I decided to look for it outside and I found it on the tabletop. My mom was talking to her friends who were sitting on the couch. I smiled by seeing her talking to her friends. These days she didn't laugh or smile and seeing her cry alone in her room was hard to take in.

"How much time does she has?. "

"Is she okay?"

"It must be hard for you right? "

"You quit your business for her"

All these Statements were common but mom always seemed to get depressed when anyone stated the facts.

Not wanting to see my mom getting all depressed and worn out , I moved out from my house.

I walked towards the park and sat on the bench in the corner. My mouth was all dry from walking so I drank water from my water bottle. I closed my eyes to get a little relief from the overbearing pain in my chest. I adjusted my body a little so that I could get little more comfortable.
