I cry as the bright light from the sun pierces my eyes. On my back, I’m restless once nobody notices me. Suddenly the light darkens, and a face is hanging above me, but not one I know. I cry harder, but the motherly person picks me up and muffles my cries against her chest.
“This is the babe we’ve been looking for,” she says to someone next to her.
“Are you sure?” a lower voice says.
“Yes.” I hear the smile in her voice.
