i dragged a heavy past on my heels,

that wasn't even heavy at all,

but it was for me,

and it [ should have ] mattered [ but it didn't, i was just weak ]

i didn't know what to say when you came to me,

just saying you cared about it,

that you cared about me.

and i broke that little ounce of care

you ever had for me.

just because . . .

i don't like to lie,

but i never want to tell the truth.

ever again.
