Bestfriends (Carter Reynolds)

Kayla's POV

"Kayla lets do something!" Carter, my best friend complained. I laughed, as I looked over at him, and he was focused on his phone.

"Okay what?" I asked. He looked up and smirked.

"I think you know what" he said, as he winked. I blushed as I lightly chuckled and looked down.

Are you with Carter?

My best friend, Matthew texted me.

Yes why?

I texted back.

I'M COMING OVER

He replied back quickly. I sighed, as I looked up at Carter, and he was already starring at me. Matthew knew I liked Carter, and he will think I will do something stupid if I'm left alone with him.

"Matthew's coming over is that alright?" I asked. Matthew is probably bringing his slutty girlfriend - Brianna. Brianna has had a crush on Carter for years now and I don't like it.

"Okay" he said, as I faked a smile, and pretended to be on my phone, so I don't have to face Carter.

Carter's POV

Her phone buzzed, as she slowly looked down; this gave me time to check her out. She had be beautiful dirty blonde hair, and those perfect hazel eyes; also that little quiver she does with her eyebrow when she's focused; she is so beautiful, and she doesn't even need to try.

"Matthew's coming over is that alright?" She asked, as she looked up at me, and I starred into her eyes.

"Okay" I said, as she didn't reply and look down at her phone. "I mean we could go see a movie and hang with her later" I added. She nodded.

"Let's go" she said. Right when she stood up, the door bell rang. I frowned, as Kayla sighed and answered the door. I looked up, and almost choked on my spit.

"Oh my lord" I said, quietly. There, stood Brianna in the most tightest shirt ever; it looked like a 4 year-old leant it to her. "Hi Brianna" I choked out. I saw Matthew behind her, and bro hugged him. "Get a new girlfriend" I whispered.

"There, now you look pretty" I said, as Brianna smiled, and she blushed. I demanded Brianna to wear one of Kayla's shirts, and she looked good in it. I looked over at Kayla, and she had a frown on her face, and she looked pale. "Are you alright?" I asked. She looked in my eyes and nodded. I shrugged, and cuddled beside Brianna.

"I.. Uh- I'll be right back" Kayla said, as she quickly stood up and walked out. Brianna smirked at me, as she raised an eyebrow.

"Now that she's gone" she said, as she leaned in, and I backed away quickly.

"Woah-"

"Shut up and kiss me" she growled, as I pushed her away.

"Brianna stop" I harshly said, as she backed away and huffed.

Kayla's POV

"I can't do this" I whispered to Matthew, as he rubbed my back. I kept my tears, because it would be stupid to cry over something so little. "I can't" I whispered, even quieter.

"You just need to keep trying" he said, as I shook my head.

"What am I doing wrong? am I too ugly? Or annoying?" I asked. Matthew shook his head.

"No you're none of that" he said. "I shouldn't of came here" he added. I quickly shook my head, as I held his hand.

"No it's okay. I haven't seen you in a while, I missed you" I said, as I faked a smile. I heard someone knocking on my door. Mmm, who could that be? I walked over and opened the door. I gasped.

"Cameron?".

"I missed you too" I said, as I hugged Nash. Everyone was here; Cameron, Jack J, Jack G, Taylor, Shawn, Hayes, Aaron, and Nash. "So.. What are you guys doing here?" I asked, not trying to sound rude.

"Matt said you had some boy problems" Cameron said, as he wiggled his eyebrows, and I giggled.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that" I said, as I blushed.

"Well.. Who?" Nash asked. I blushed even more, as I looked down, and bit my lip.

"Kayla-" Carter said, as everyone looked at him. "Oh.. Hi guys, I didn't know you guys were coming!" He said, as he bro hugged everyone. He coughed, and looked at me. "Can I talk to you for a second?" He asked. I nodded, as I told him to go to my room, and I'll meet him there.

"You have a crush on Carter?!" Taylor whispered, but yelled. I hushed him, as I smirked. "Damn" he commented. I rolled my eyes and giggled. I walked into my bedroom, and saw Carter kissing Brianna. I gasped, as Carter pulled away from her and shook his head.

"No Kayla it-"

"Shut up Carter!" I yelled, as I felt the tears come. "Is that what you wanted to show me?" I asked, quiet loudly.

"Kayla-"

"Save it" I snapped, as I slammed my door and rushed past the boys. Cameron held my arm, but I pushed him back. I put on my shoes and ran outside.

Carter's POV

"Can you leave? I need to talk to Kayla" I said to Brianna, and she chuckled.

"You know she has had a crush on you for like ever" she said, as I stood still. I looked up at her, and smiled.

"Good. Me too" I said, as she gasped. She quickly walked up to me, and smashed her lips on mine. I pushed her back. I saw Kayla standing by the door.

"No, Kayla it-"

"Shut up Carter!" She yelled. I kept my mouth shut, as I saw tears form in her eyes. "Is that what you wanted to show me?" She yelled.

"Kayla-"

"Save it" she snapped, as she walked away and slammed the door. I turned around and saw Brianna smirk. I angrily slapped her, and walked away.

"Where did she go?" I asked the boys. They didn't answer me. I huffed, and ran out the house, not caring that it was raining. "Kayla!" I yelled. I checked the park by her house. "Kayla!" I yelled again. I checked the nearest pizza place. "Kayla!" I repeated, as I grew worried. I sighed, as I saw her sitting on a swing, by the park I checked; wow I am stupid.

"Kayla you have to believe me.. she kissed me!" I shouted, as she looked up, and I saw a long black line down her cheek, but I still think she looked beautiful. "Kayla.." I begged her to say something.

"Can't you see Carter?" She yelled, as the tears on her face stained her perfect skin. "It hurts; it hurts every time you talk to a girl, or cuddle with a slut or kiss the one person I despise the most. I hate it that I love you!" She screamed. "I hate it" she whispered.

"I-"

"You don't have to say anything Carter. I just had to tell you" she said, as she turned around and walked away.

"If you don't want me to talk, then fine" I said, as I grabbed her wrist and pulled her to me, smashing my lips onto hers.
