I could hear Aria gasp and try to say "I'm sorry" but that was soon clouded by a strong pulsing in my ears. Then I dropped to my knees unable to stand anymore from the pain, my hands tightly holding onto my stomach as I bent over in pain. There was a terrible searing pain going through my stomach that told me the change was happening, which is bad because it's never this painful. That means he's powerful.

Pushing away the pain I heard Rayne yelling at Aria to lock the door, then he was on his knees in front of me, his hands gripping my shoulders to try and bring me back to reality. With one look up at his blazing pink eyes and worried expression, I realized I needed to fight.

"Rayne" I gasped out,

"You're okay, sweetheart, I'm here" he spoke lightly, running his hand over my hair,

"Wh-What's wrong with her?" Caden asked nervously, looking around as if we were crazy people. I could see that, I am hunched over from touching him and my supposed to be teacher just called me sweetheart and has his arms wrapped around me protectively.

Yeah, we totally just blew our cover.

"What the hell are you?" I asked out through clinched teeth, wondering why the transition was taking so long.

Caden's eyes widened and glazed over each person in the room, then there was a sharp pain in my back. I pushed back the scream I wanted to let out and squeezed my eyes shut as if to ease the pain.

"What do you mean? What's happening to you?" Caden asked but I just shot Rayne a look. I need answers so I can find out if I'm dying or something.

Rayne looked up at Caden, anger written all over his face, "She's a shifter. We're all shifters, and since she touched you, she's transforming into whatever you are. I'll explain more later but I need to know what's happening to her, so what are you?" he asked.

Caden closed his eyes before opening them, his gaze on me, "I'm an angel. So that means she's turning into one too?" he asked with what seemed like hope in his voice.

"Yes" Rayne said sadly and turned his attention back on me.

I could feel sweat drip down my back when another sharp pain shot through me, this time I couldn't hold in my scream. In no time I was in Rayne's arms and his hand was covering my mouth, probably a good choice.

"Oh my god, Lynn. I'm so sorry" Aria stated quietly, hands cupped over her mouth unaware of what to do.

My eyes were on Caden who seemed to be trying to find one emotion and stick with it instead of the many that were racing over his features. This has to be weird for him considering Shifters aren't supposed to exist yet here we are and I'm turning into an Angel. I'm turning into one of him.

"What do you have? What powers, body markers, physical things that make you different because that's what I'll get" I asked, looking up at Caden, suddenly noticing my body was shaking.

As soon as Caden's eyes widened, I knew I wasn't going to like the answer, "Wings. I have wings. And shining grey eyes of course but I don't know if you'll get that. The wings are the main thing" he said worried.

"Oh fuck" I mumbled, suddenly feeling the pain centering in on my back.

I gazed up at Rayne, "You need to get me out of here. I can't do this in a school classroom. If it's already this painful I can only imagine what the wings are going to add" I told him shakily.

He gave me a sad glance before stating, "I know" and gazing over my body then deciding to scoop me up into his arms, carrying me bridal style while my head fell into his chest, my neck not exactly being able to support it.
