The end of the road (Mine)

As I hold you in my lap,

your eyes flutter closed,

I pray that you'll be back,

but this is the end of the road.

You taught me everything I know,

what is right and what is wrong,

You're gone now,

And I know you won't be back.

The sun dies so the moon can rise,

As I lie in my bed,

My blood stained red,

I dream of a time with you.

Your smile so bright and eyes so pure,

I wish of a place no better than here,

We sing and dance through the moonlight,

But you're not really here.

The sun shines through the window,

I open my eyes once again,

Every day that passes,

I'll be a little closer to you.

Did you all like this one? I only quickly threw it together but it does have meaning to me and I hope it does to you as well.
