My feet were sore and felt as though they would fall off. 

I had walked 10,000 miles after all, just for you. 

Gasping for breath, I swore I could almost see you now.

All the hills I had crossed made me stronger.

Almost feeling the footprints of my ancient ancestors walking with me.

With every step I felt myself giving a little bit more of myself.

I had walked across deserts, full of hidden life and rotten with heat.

Those vast expanses of sand, often my footsteps stirring up storms of violent fury.
