"Where would I be sleeping?" I asked Beelarh or oh yeah I remember my bestie
"Duhh I don't trust my brothers to let you stay at the guests, so you'd be sleeping in my room"
"Really now? We're Muslims" khaleefah said with a straight face
"Shaytan exists and so does his whisperings" beelarh replied "Well atleast until he's been chained, I won't trust you guys with my bestie"
"We'd be safe In Shaa Allah" I said sitting next to Beelarh "What would we be doing for the night?" I asked excitedly
"Let's call it a movie night" Kabeer said "What should we be watching?"
"Game of thrones 7" Khalid answered excitedly
"Ladies first" Kabeer said
"Awwwn what a gentleman you turned suddenly?" I teased "I've been wondering, where's Mukhtar?" I asked no one in particular
"He's gone back to school"
"Thought all schools are on break"
"Yeah all schools are but not in China yet"
"He schools at China?" I asked amazed
"Yes at Shenyang" beelarh blurted, Ohh I mouthed. "Let's watch Moana" Beelarh said excitedly and I joined in at her excitement making her brothers look at us in disgust
"What? It's a cool movie" Beelarh defended
"Let's safe it for the kids shall we?" He said replied "what about you Salima?" He asked
"I say let's do Korean" I smiled and they all gave me the are you serious look except Beelarh
"You know what? I'd just pick a movie, I say let's do horror" he said
"No please I don't wanna have nightmares" Beelarh shrieked
"Are you sure you don't wanna have a nightmare when you are one already" Khalil said laughing making me and Beelarh roll our eyes
"Everyone quiet movie's on play already" Kabeer announced
"What are we watching?" I asked
"Conjuring" he said laughing evil but it sounded cute to me which was weird I mean what's wrong with me and back to the movie which I watched with my eyes shut because I can't risk having a nightmare, Beelarh covered her face with her veil and I was wondering if she was able to breath, Khaleefah and Khalil watched it like beings should, Khalid was on his phone all through the movie and I swear I saw Kabeer shivering, when his phone rang he screamed and of course I couldn't stop laughing. When we were done with the movie he insists we watch blackish and I know what he was trying to do, so he wouldn't go to bed with the movie memory.
When we just began to enjoy our movie, the power system went off and we all screamed NEPA which I was sure if Nifah was here she'd correct us by saying PHCN, movie poopers. After shouting our Ohhs and No's, Khalil went to start the generator but unfortunately it wasn't starting and then he recalled that he had forgotten to service it, so we were sitting there with our flashlights and we decided to kill the boredom by telling stories.
Kabeer started and all I hear him say was either about how he's a gym freak, his six packs which everyone knew he had or about his handsome face, God I wish he had a zip on his mouth because I'd zip it and add a lock, he talks way too much.
How he was the campus king and girls swim all around him which made me feel jealous a bit but I brushed it off, I was fed up, I felt my imaginary hand slapping senses into him so I tried shutting him up.
"Yo let's tell jinn stories" I said
"What??" They all shrieked,
"Do you know what time is it? Nana, I would risk them coming to haunt" Beelarh said looking from side to side
"Say what ain't nobody scared, bring it on bae" Kabeer said winking
"I'd be glad" I said smiling as weird as I can. Everyone's flashlight was on me, which made a mini spotlight and I told the scariest story I've ever known, I ended it with a boo which startled them and I laughed afterwards
"Man I gotta admit that was one scary story" khaleefah admitted
"Yeah who told you that?" Khalil asked
"I read it 'Cursed' is it's title" I answered proudly
"Life's scary, find your boo" Beelarh said
"Man something has been clinging at me, I was gonna scream but I don't wanna sound female" Khalid said, we turned our flashlights to his position and there was a clingy Kabeer "Get off me" Khalid said annoyed pushing him away
"I was just playing around" Kabeer said mini laughing "This story is just child's play. What? You wanna recite twinkle twinkle little star next" he teased
"Yeah I see that child's play got a man soaked in sweats" I replied and he mouthed whatever. Boom! We heard from across the living room "Okay! What was that?" I asked curiously
"Nothing maybe just a rat" Khalil replied and we all looked at him with disgust "Just kidding" he said, we heard the sound again this time louder and closer
"I don't know rats could be this strong and loud" I said
"We don't live with pests, you think Kabeer would live in a house with one? His ass saved us on that" Khalid said
"Nigga you're welcome" Kabeer said
"Someone should go check what's up and y'all know that we're girls we don't handle that kind of business" Beelarh said
"Yeah bruh since you're the oldest why not go check for us?" Khalil asked Kabeer
"I know I'm the oldest doesn't gives me the license to die now, I mean look at me, I'm not married yet, no kids, I haven't even started life yet" Kabeer yelled
"Ain't nobody asking for your life history, just go already somebody. You know if it was a ghost we'd be dead already with all the noise" Beelarh said
"You still believe in this ghost crab" Khalid said annoyed
"For once I'd believe her on that bruh" Kabeer said and Khalid only shook his head in disbelieve
"Yeah man whatever" Khalid said and a hand leaned on his shoulder "Hey guys I think I believe in ghosts too because I think I made one angry and he has his hand on my shoulder" Khalid said lowly
"Keep calm bruh don't let it get angrier" Kabeer mouthed
"Rest in peace bruh" Khalil said, I turned my flashlight towards him and all I see is Mr Ibro. All our faces dropped
"Mr Ibro?" We all asked
"Sorry o make una no vex them don bring light, nayim I come tell una" he said laughing
"It's not funny Mr Ibro, I could have died, I felt my heart drop, my temperature rising, I almost died" Khalil said angrily
"Oya no vex I no know say una dey fear like that now. Make una change am to NEPA, good night o fear fear people" he walked away laughing, after putting it back up to NEPA we were staring at ourselves and then we burst into laughter. So much for one night. We said our good nights and went our separate room. I kept hearing Khalil's laughter, he is our ghost buster. Lights out
