This is the first time I have seen Niall in person in three years. He hasn't changed much at all, just got taller and looks a bit older. I probably look like an idiot standing here with my mouth gaping open a little bit, but I don't care. I just never thought I would ever see Niall again, let alone in my house. We used to hang out here all the time. We'd watch funny movies and through popcorn at the T.V. during the really cheesy parts, we'd lay on the couch all night in our pajamas watching horror movies, and when I would scream, he didn't mind me hiding behind him. Looking at him now, sitting at my table, all of these memories are suddenly flooded back into my mind.

My thoughts are cut off by the sound of my mom’s heels click-clacking through the room. "Hi Honey," then everyone else seems to notice I'm there, because all of the eyes in the room are now turned my way.

"Why don't you go upstairs and change? We're having a nice dinner to welcome the Horan’s home for the Holidays," She turns to send a bright smile towards Niall’s parents in the kitchen, who seem to be helping my mother with dinner. "Oh, and did you get the lettuce?"

"Yeah, here," I hand my mom the bag and then head towards the stairs that lead to my bedroom, because I’m super excited to get all dressed up for Niall. Yeah, definitely.

"Hey, Karty," I heard Niall call me by my old nickname, but I pretended I didn’t and just kept walking. I'm not going to pretend like everything is A-Okay with him. It's so not.

I quickly slip on a light, white, strapless sun dress and twist my long dark hair into a side Fish-tail braid. I touch up my make up real quick, just straightening my eye liner and dabbing on some light pink lip gloss. I let the sweetness of my Warm Vanilla Sugar scented perfume penetrate my nose and I spray a few spritz on me, and then walk out of my door shoe-less. This is my house, so i refuse to wear shoes, no matter how fancy of a meal we're having.

Once downstairs I take my usual seat at the table, second chair to the left of my dads (The head of the table). Unfortunately for me, Niall has chosen the seat directly to my right. Super.

"Hey Karty," Niall says again. "You look nice," He says again with that sweet grin of his. Man, I wish he woudn't smile like that, it makes it harder to be rude to him.

I turn towards him and, with a blank stare on my face, I monotonously say, "Thanks," and then turn back to stare straight ahead at the entrance to the kitchen.

"It's really good to see you again Karter, I've mis--" Niall started to say, but then got cut off by all of the adults entering the room carrying large plates and bowls of delicious, mouth-watering looking foods. My Father carrying a large platter of grilled, skinless chicken breasts, my mother a overly giant bowl of green house salad. Niall's mother has a huge plate of steamed rice rolls with shrimp paste (My favorite), while his father is carrying a tray of seven shrimp cocktails. My little brother, Dustin, enters with 7 glasses filled with Pepsi, my favorite drink... which just so happens to be Niall's favorite drink too.

Do I reply to Niall's "It's good to see you."? Nope.

Everyone takes there seats; My Dad at the head of the table, Niall to his left, then me, Niall's dad at the Foot of the table, then his Mom, then Dustin, and then my Mom on the right side of my Dad. We all start passing around the plates, everyone getting a bit of every delicious food sitting on our table at the moment.

After dinner my mother served us all a bowl of mint ice-cream, the best ice cream in the world, in my opinion. This is the part of dinner I'm slightly nervous about. The part where everyone starts to talk. Okay, so nervous might not be the right word, I'm just not looking forward to it. I don't want to have a conversation with Niall, but I don't want his family and mine to think I'm being a bitch.

"So, Niall," My dad started, while leaning back in his chair and relaxing, "You've become quite the famous fellow."

"Yeah, I guess so. It's been great, it just doesn't really seem real though," Niall responded, and then glanced over at me and flashed me another one of those smiles that I don't return. "I've missed home a lot, too."

"Well home has missed you too," My mom smiled and turned her perfectly make-up and hair-sprayed head towards me. "Havn't we, Karter?"

Taken by surprise, I whipped my head around towards my mom with my eyes open wide, "Uh, yeah." Not. Okay, maybe I have missed him. But he was my best friend, who wouldn't miss their best friend? Him, apparently. He didn't seem to miss me very much.

My Mother shot me a weird, slightly worried look with her eyes slanted and her head tilted. She doesn't understand why I'm not jumping with joy at my best friend being back in town.

"We've missed you plenty too, darling," Niall's mother flashed a perfectly white smile my way.

"I've missed you Maura, and Bobby, too," Maura and Bobby are Niall's parents, and its true, I have missed them being around. My parents are great friends with them, and I can just see the joy in my Mom's and Dad's eyes talking to them again. Niall's parents always treated me like their own, since they have two boys and have always wanted a daughter. Whenever I was with just him and his family out in public, we would pretend that I was part of the family. Actually, Niall and I would pretend to be twins (even though we look nothing alike), since our birthdays are just six days apart; mine on September 7th, his on the 13th.

The parents then started to have a long conversation about Niall's older brother, Greg, off at college so I just sat there and relaxed, not having to talk at all. I was aware of Niall glancing over at me from time to time, but I pretended not to notice, and ignored him when he would poke my shoulder, trying to get my attention.

After about an hour of light conversation and small talk, I was excused from the table. I said goodbye to Maura and Bobby and gave each of them a kiss on the cheek, and then said a quick "Bye" to Niall. I told my parents and Brother goodnight and that I love them, and then ran upstairs to my room to call Jordan and tell her all about dinner with Niall. I changed out of my dress and put on my usual sleepwear of black yoga pants, a pink tank-top, and mismatched socks. I joyfully wipe off my make-up and let my wild mess of hair loose from its braid, enjoying the light-weight feeling it gives my head. I let my limbs crumble beneath me and just fall backwards onto my soft bed, letting my body mold into the light feel of my mattress and comforter.

I was just about to dial the seven digits that would deliver my call to Jordan, when there was a knock at my bedroom door. It started swinging open and In popped a blonde head, "Hey Karty."

Note- Anotherrr Chapterrrrrr :) So what did you think? Kaija, you need to write your Jordans-point-of-view chapter ASAP! Oh, btw, those are actually facts about Niall. His parents names, his brothers, his birthday, his favorite drink. I did some research :) Aren't you proud of me? So anyways, comment, and vote, and fan, and whatever else you wanna do :) XOXO
